Frequently Asked Questions We are sure you will have many questions about the transfer of our business to Jaffabox Ltd. We have tried to pre-empt any questions you may have here but if you are unsure of anything please call Richard on 0121 250 2000.
Why have you and Jaffabox joined forces? The company has been run for many years by brothers Richard & Graeme Shorthouse. However after Graeme left the company to persue other challenges, Richard approached Jaffabox Ltd, with whom we have always had an excellent trading relationship with a view to combining our operations. The deal made perfect sense for both parties; Clifton Case is one of the country's leading suppliers of used boxes and combining this with Jaffabox's impressive manufacturing capabilities and huge stock range of new cartons and packaging materials will give our customers the widest possible product choice. Richard will be responsible for the whole of the combined operations's used and redundant stocks. This, combined with Jaffabox's huge, 100,000 sq ft modern warehouse and up to date, professional delivery fleet will ensure we continue to offer you the very best service you have come to expect. I am a long standing customer. How will the transfer affect me? There will be no changes to your service whatsoever. Richard Shorthouse will continue to be your main contact and he will ensure you continue to receive the very best service available. Jaffabox will continue to pay suppliers in accordance with their normal trading terms. How do I make payments for goods invoiced before 10 November 2008? All goods invoiced by Clifton Case Co Ltd before 10 November 2008 should be paid to Clifton Case at their Great Barr address or for BACS payments to the same bank account you have been paying to for a number of years (Sort Code 12-24-81). Cheques should be made payable to Clifton Case Co Ltd. How do I make payments for goods invoiced after 10 November 2008? All goods supplied after 10 November 2008 will be invoiced by Jaffabox Ltd and payments should be made to them at their Bickenhill address or for BACS payments contact their accounts office on 0121 250 2000. Cheques should be made payable to Jaffabox Ltd. How do I order boxes after 10 November? Simple. Just call Richard on 0121 250 2000, fax us on 0121 250 2001 or email Richard on rs@jaffabox.com. Will my prices go up after 10 November? We have no plans to change prices charged to our existing customers. I usually collect my boxes. Can I still collect from Great Barr? Unfortunately, the entire operation is being transferred to Jaffabox's warehouse near Birmingham Airport in Bickenhill with immediate effect. Our existing warehouse will be closed from this date. Bickenhill is too far for me to collect. What are my options? We have spent the last 70 years trying to accomodate our customers wishes and we understand that the transfer of the business to Jaffabox may be inconvenient for some of our customers. For this reason we are offering a free collection service from Great Barr Self Storage Ltd, adjacent to Clifton's old address in Shady Lane, Great Barr.
